Last Chance Pets at Broward Animal Care

Five dogs and one cat at Broward County Animal Care are considered "last call" and are in need of urgent adoption or rescue. The adoption fee for all of these pets has been waived!

Babs is an affectionate 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who needs a new home! She would make a great apartment or townhome dog, as she is short and only weighs 30 pounds. Babs loves people and enjoys being around other dogs as well.

Louise is a friendly, 7-year-old American Bulldog who would love to be your new best friend! She is 63 pounds, and is a sweet, well-socialized girl who enjoys the company of people and other dogs. Louise is gentle, well-mannered, and even walks well on a leash!

Brianna is an energetic American Staffordshire Terrier who just loves to play! This 2-year-old girl weighs 48 pounds and is described by shelter staff as an energetic bundle of joy. Brianna loves to give kisses, and gets along well with other dogs.

Inki is a 5-year-old, 65-pound American Bulldog who is exceptionally well-behaved and knows basic commands. Inki is affectionate and so eager to please. She loves people and other dogs. Inki and her brother Rocco (see below) are very bonded and hope to find a new home together.

Rocco is a 3-year-old, 57-pound American Staffordshire Terrier who just loves his sister Inki. Unlike his sister, Rocco is in need of some basic training. He is a friendly boy who loves both people and other dogs. Since he and Inki have been through a lot together, the shelter would love to keep this pair together.

Scarlette is a beautiful 8-year-old domestic shorthair cat in need of a forever home. She is one of the longest residents at the shelter, since she arrived January 15th after her her owner passed away. Scarlette has actually been adopted twice, but was returned because she likes her space. She gets along with people and other cats, but she's an independent lady who prefers to be alone. Scarlette needs a new family who can give her the love and space she needs.
